Aussie Touring Route Ideas
Everyone has an opinion about the ‘best direction to travel Australia’. Here’s my Top Ten Trips (actually 14). Which one’s your fave?
No matter if you wing it or you plan it… you won’t be able to fit everything in to every trip. My best advice would be to write down your bucket list locations, and make sure you hit those when the weather is right for the spot. Check the average temps and water temps for the month. Is it rainy season or winter? Is it too hot (or too cold) to travel safely?
Then you factor in how long you can spend on the road, and if you’ve got kids.. which terms that means they will change out for travel.
I’m mildly obsessed with planning, and also have a major soft spot for a good map. So I’ve put some route ideas together. Would love to hear your thoughts and favourites!
